General ValgOrize documentary: introducing seaweed and algae to Europe
The ValgOrize research project aims at the sustainable and (food-)safe cultivation of seaweed and micro-algae. From sea-farms to consumer taste testing, this project covers all aspects of introducing seaweed and algae into the European food chain.
Flemish TV channel PlattelandsTV found out how exactly the ValgOrize project plans to convince the European consumer to add (more) locally produced, nutritious, qualitative, sustainably cultivated and most importanly TASTY algae to their diet in the near future. In doing that, they also took to the street to see what that European consumer has to say about that idea.
