Event Third partner meeting, online

Although most people are getting used to the online meeting format by now, the third partner meeting was not what we had planned. We were supposed to meet in Greenwich for the partner meeting and a stakeholder event organized by UK Algae. But one week before the event, it became clear that an in-person meeting would not be advisable nor responsible. The stakeholder event was therefore postponed to later this year, and the partner meeting was held online. On March 19th, five of the six work packages (macroalgae/seaweeds – microalgae – acceptance – valorization – communication) presented their preliminary results, findings and difficulties. It was a pleasure to see that even on this virtual channel, colleagues from every partner organization entered the discussion, asked questions and tried to help each other where necessary. The ValgOrize team is clearly making the best out of a difficult situation and doing whatever they can to keep this project going and keep working towards our goal – promoting algae as a human food source to European food producers and with the general European public.
